The most common size tank is a 20 # Tank. This is the size often used with a Standard BBQ Grill.
Update
Due to Alabama State regulations on propane cylinders we cannot refill any bottle that is over 12 years old. There is a certification date stamped into the metal collar of the cylinder with a date, some cylinders are re-certified and the new date stamped vertically on the collar. If the tank you have is over 12 years old we do offer a convenient Propane Exchange service for the small gas grill sized tanks. You bring us your old bottle and exchange it for a new or newly re-certified bottle with propane already in it for $19.99 and if you do not have a bottle you can purchase one from our cage for $39.99.
